Homeland: Four Portraits of Native Action 2005 |
CO-PRODUCER of a 90-minute super 16mm film about American Indians and environmental justice. The film contains four stories: The Penobscot in Maine and their struggle with paper companies discharging dioxin; the Gwich’in struggle to keep Bush from drilling in ANWR; the Northern Cheyenne and the expansion of coal-bed methane gas drilling; and finally, the Navajo trying to stop another round of uranium mining. Homeland won the 2005 Santa Barbara Film Festival Social Justice Award and Audience Award for Best Documentary and Environmental and Festival Award at Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. Homeland is available on DVD for educational and home use. | |
